Box Lacrosse big return

The 2021 Canada Summer Games will be held August 5-22, 2021, in Niagara, Ontario.
The 2021 edition heralds the return of lacrosse to the Canada Summer Games program. A
record total of 18 sports will be represented at the 2021 Games. In addition, the anticipated
participation of 5,000 athletes will make it the most significant competition in the history of the

Absent from the Games since 1985, the Quebec Lacrosse Federation (FCQ) is very proud to
present women's and men's teams in the U16 category. Rallying 3 Quebec communities that will
participate by joining forces; Indigenous, French and English speaking. These competitive teams
will hopefully be able to aspire to the gold medal in this major competition.

The July 2020 evaluation camp will identify 35 athletes who will be invited to continue the
program. Weekly training will take place from Tuesday July 7 until mid-August. The final roster
for the 2021 Canada Games will consist of 16 runners and 2 goalkeepers.

Young people will have the opportunity to showcase their sporting skills and celebrate the
legacy of this heritage sport in Canada, while taking part in a great sporting event that brings
together athletes from across the country.

The team of named coaches; highly qualified and experienced will bring to the men's team all
the rigor, motivation and intensity to achieve the set goals. The team is made up of the head
coach; Paul Lehmann and he will be assisted by his team composed of Jeffrey Hébert, Garret
Cree, Myan Adams, Mike Thompson and David Ouellette.

The Quebec Lacrosse Federation is looking forward to being part of this national event which
will certainly attract the participation of the best young lacrosse players in the country. The FCQ
is ready to take up the challenge, and it hopes to take advantage of this opportunity to create a
lasting legacy within Quebec.
